The Bixby Knolls Neighborhood Association (BKNA) is a community organization that represents the interests of residents in the Bixby Knolls neighborhood of Long Beach, California. It is a volunteer organization that aims to improve the quality of life for Bixby Knolls residents by fostering a sense of community, promoting safety, and advocating for local issues.
Today, BKNA has grown to encompass approximately 205 home. The organization is run by a Steering Committee made up of volunteers who meet regularly to plan events, address neighborhood concerns, and coordinate with local officials and other organizations. The BKNA organizes several events throughout the year, such as community tree planting, social events, block parties, quarterly meetings and holiday celebrations, to promote social engagement and community involvement.
The organization also serves as a resource for information on topics relevant to the Bixby Knolls neighborhood, such as local development projects, safety issues, and city ordinances. Overall, the BKNA is dedicated to making Bixby Knolls a more connected, safer community.
